Almost immediately after marriage (talk about a month into it), I felt stressed out, and weirdly unhappy. The routine was killing me - starting with the morning ablutions, cooking lunch, then work, getting back, more cooking and dozing off to dialogues from F.R.I.E.N.D.S - it was getting on my nerves.
And then I happened to see this.
True, to some, it might sound like a lot of BS; but I saw ONLY what I liked, the rest was {add your adjective}.
When was the last time I had a mehndi cone? When was the last time I painted? For that matter, what happened to the Ganpati I started painting 4 years back? No more casual strolls in Pondy Bazar. No more happy get together with like-minded people. Lost creativity and interests. Never did I stop to realize what I have lost.
I came across this blog and within minutes I felt that I was living the life of a 40 year old, dull and dead.
The message was simple. Effortless. But I hardly did any of those things anymore. I don't read exciting blogs nor do I write anything that people would like to look at. I don't listen to music anymore, I don't step out of the house except for work everyday and I've almost lost being in touch with friends. WTH!!!
The internet is sure crapped with self-help, self-motivation, "live-your-passion" articles. Take what you need, laugh at what humors you, throw away the rest. Make up for your lost time! I'm giving myself another chance to live.
"Live life to the fullest, 'coz today well-lived makes
Yesterday, a dream of happiness and
Tomorrow, a vision of joy!"
